The judges have selected their shortlist!

On Monday 21st May, the competition judges gathered at the firm’s headquarters in Russelsheim, Germany to shortlist a number of students to progress to the next stage of the competition.

The shortlisted students chosen by the judges are as follows (click on either 'INTERIOR' or 'EXTERIOR' to see their entries):

CONGRATULATIONS to our shortlisted students!

For those of you who didn’t make the shortlist, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank you – on behalf of CDN, Opel/Vauxhall and our sponsors, PACE – for entering. You make the competition what it is and made it bigger and better than last year. Don’t forget that, during this shortlist phase of the competition, the entries listed above will remain open for your comments too. We’d encourage you to give your fellow students all the support you can muster and look forward to announcing the winner in Paris, come September.

You can read the full story about the competition judging here, on Car Design News.

And so we enter the final phase...

The shortlisted students will soon be invited to further develop their designs over the coming months. Each student will be assigned their own individual mentor from Opel/Vauxhall's design team to guide them and help them develop their design into a final entry.

The judges will then meet again in early September to choose their finalists (three in total). These finalists will be invited to attend the Paris motor show, where their work will be displayed and the winner will be announced.

The ultimate prize? A paid internship at the firm’s design studio in Russelsheim, Germany.

Good luck to the shortlisted students in the next phase. There is still all to play for...
