Judging & Prizes

The competition ran from 5 January 2012 until 2 September 2012. The judges will soon choose their three finalists and they will be announced on the competition website. The finalists will be invited to attend the Paris Motor Show in September 2012, where their work will be displayed and the winners will be announced at an exclusive awards ceremony at the Opel/Vauxhall stand.

TIMELINE:

January 2012: Competition launched

May 2012: The shortlist is chosen by the judges and announced

June 2012: New competition phase is launched, exclusive to the shorlisted students. They will now compete only against each other to be a finalist.

September 2012 : Three finalists are chosen by the judges. The finalists' work will be displayed at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. All finalists will be invited to the 2012 Paris Motor Show for an exclusive announcement of the competition winner.

Opel/Vauxhall is looking for the next generation in design talent, which is why they are offering a paid internship to their chosen winner.

Maximum Publicity for finalists

The work of the chosen finalists will be publicized to the global professional design community, both online at Car Design News, and at the Paris Motor Show in September 2012. This degree of exposure is invaluable to young, aspiring car designers looking to impress.
