No Problem
But you still can consider to work my comments in. I guess that you will put your work into your Portfolio, right?
In general your sketches have improved. Keep going. You are on a very good way.

No offense to You mr. Beyer. I think is little too late for any help. The Competition has ended 2 days ago.

I don`t see any cutline of the door opening. How does the door open anyway. Do you have a new concept? ( sliding, controvento, lift up.....)

Kurt Beyer

17Kurt Beyer 4th Sep 2012 | 12:44

The taillamp could be more precise. Slim down the lamp and give it mayby a more 3D environment ( champher )

Kurt Beyer

Question: Is the highlited surface meant to be a chrome/metal insert. If yes, I would work it out as a more premium execution. Control the linework a bit more. It looks to sketchy and edgy.

Kurt Beyer

15Kurt Beyer 4th Sep 2012 | 12:38

Too complicated

Kurt Beyer

14Kurt Beyer 4th Sep 2012 | 12:38

Slim down the pillar in the front and let it grow towards the rear end. ( Thick to thin ) that builds up more dynamic and drama

Hi Mateusz
The idea with the motherboard is not too bad. But I would keep the excution simple. Less is more.
Your images have improved. In particular this last image. The feature on the hood is mayby to much. If you insist I would try to simplify it a bit.

Dear mr. Beyer
I realize that it is already late to look for new inspiration, but I think this one is good. I'm still trying to connect sculptural artistry and german precision. Computers are very precise and modern so I decided to use the computers motherboard texture as the lamps and safety sensors. It also highlights the nature of ampera. I remember that you wrote to me to clean up the graphics, but maybe it's a different story now. Please let me know if I'm wrong. Also I would like to know my sketches are sofisticated and dynamic enough.
If You don't like the new idea i will go back to the older version.
I would be very grateful for your reply

Dear mr. Beyer
thank you very much for your feedback. I decided to keep the one box design as you like it and I have tried to put some boomerang shape to the front.
Is it a good way to develop the project?
In the next step i would like to develop some details

Very nice sketch

Interessting graphics. Still the rear is too busy. Keep the graphic, but calm it down a bit.

Kurt Beyer

I like the headlamp graphic. Looks mean and aggressive.

Kurt Beyer

7Kurt Beyer 8th Aug 2012 | 15:01

Too complicated. Clean it down. Give also the graphics more dynamism.

The DLO is always a keep element for a brand. It has brand function. So think about how you execute the window graphic. Look at current Opel products and come up with a solution how it could like in the future. What is the next level or step??

Kurt Beyer

Great that you try to implement the boomerang graphic into the front. To me the grphic looks a bit edgy. Try to get a bit more flow and dynamic into the graphic execution. Also the surfaces around the lamp area is a bit to busy. Calm it down and make it more simpler.
Also try to find a connection to the bodyside or vice vers.
I like the one box design.

Hi.
First of all, I would like to thank the jury for shortlisting me. In the last article concluding the juries proceedings, I read that my project should be backed up by inspirations, which is why I have attached my story-board of about 2020 ampera. I would be very grateful for any guidance concerning my project as I feel that at this point I have become stuck and am not sure what I should focus on most. Thank you.

Kind Regards

Kurt Beyer

Hi Mateusz
First congratulations to your step into the next level. I am your mentor and will try to give you some comments to your work to help improving and further developing your project.
You`ve done so far a very impressive work development. Great job. Looking at your exterior and interior work, I feel that the interior is a bit stronger than the exterior. But with some tweaks a bit here and there the exterior will become equaly.
The interior looks a bit more sporty and dynamic. More like a sportscar. You should start cleaning up the graphics and surfaces to get the car a bit more sofisticated. Think about sculptural artistry meets german precision. Keep this phrases always in your mind.I will add some tags to describe what I`m talking about

Very nice work, I realy like your car - Its Simple and futuristic, clean design and looks like an ampera. Good job.
I only thing I cant figure out is that - what was your theme behind this car or what led you to make this nice car. Any form, Inspiration etc......

Thanx:) I was studying a couple of books and magazines to have a better understanding of the Opel/vauxhall design style. I concentrated on the Opel brand itself so that I could predict how it would look in 8 years time.
