The elements are great... work on more crosscar horizontal feel to give the car more width and prestige.

This grill seems a bit too laid back and the badge ends up facing more to the sky than forward. I think you can make it more upright and improve the prestige quality of the front end.

Nice rendering quality and great potential here. I think both these views could use some stretch and more harmonious use of the sharp corners, so that your gaze flows rather than stopping every once in a while and changing direction. I applaud your effort to display a vehicle that has 'showcar' quality rather than 'showroom'. There is a definite high tech feeling, that could be turned into something more 'flagship' and luxurious. The grille is nicely integrated but there could be more exploration of the bars to the level you have pushed the body. Good work.

Interesting mood created by the artwork. The proportion could use more stretch in the side view... the car looks too short.

I like whats going on on the front here. The nose is proud and is a good underlay for grille work. Very elegant front.

This sharp transition area could use some of the feeling of the sketch above so that the eye does not stay fixed at the cross-roads so-to-speak.

This sketch shows good experimentation with form and cohesiveness front to rear. I think this could work even without the covered rear wheel. I see the historic interpretation, and keep working on the underlying form stretching front to rear.

Interesting inspiration. It drives a lot of the little thumbnails, but the proportion is still a smaller vehicle.

Something elegant and different developing here at the front... I wouldn't dial it back to reality too soon.

I like the ideation sketches in this section. They start to hit on the right proportion and elegant emotion that embodies the Buick Brand. Keep working on stretching the proportion and giving the front a prominent luxury feel. You have some great fresh thinking all around... keep developing them... but be conscious of the proportion... less tall coupelike and more showcar flagship sedan feeling.

Hey Byungwan, be careful with backgrounds like these because they tend to distract and detract from the design. If you really want to make it harmonious, I would think about integrating your theme into the background (like those organic bud-shape lines).
On that front tip-up view (the one you overlayed the SLK) if you want it to read better, then put in a centerline that describes what is happening because at the moment the entire top of the car feels very flat.
Concept-wise, (though I know its a bit late to be talking about this), you have to take into consideration - is Buick really in a position to be drawing from their past cars for the sole inspiration? I think for now, a future-focused mindset is the best way to approach this brand. In hindsight you could have brought more of the chair, yacht and flower bud into the design and not so much the lines from the old Buick. Just a thought!
Overall great work, good sense of the process. Keep it up!

Thanks, I'll see what I can do to fix 'em : )

Hi. everybody. I re-grouped pages and updated ‘application’ page. Also, did some changes on exterior design. I uploaded initial Interior renderings too. Hope you guys enjoy.

I used Mercedes SLK sketch for an underlay. Only for the right perspective. Yes, it’s a two-seater sport car and had a difficult time to fix it into a sedan proportion.

I really like the ideation sketches, but I unfortunately feel that some of the "Buickness" has been lost in the final design. There are a lot of beautiful details here and your renderings are very nicely done, but I feel that the end result feels a bit too generic. I'd love to see some of the more Buick detailing incorporated back in.
I also think that the proportions on the front perspective rendering feel off. This gives the impression of a very very cab-forward car, when the side view shows a more cab-rearward design (that I think works better).
Overall, a great effort and nice work though.

I’ve been waiting for some thoughts of the mentors, and I’m really glad to know how my next step will be heading for. The rendering isn’t really a final design, so I’ll redo whatever I’m lack of.

I have added some chrome, and 'Waterfall Grill'. I Hope those helps a little bit for the ‘Buickness’. I think the waterfall grill and distinctive side character lines are very important to Buick. I’ll keep thinking about any other detail to help for the better result, and move on to the interior at the same time.

Also, fixed side body cut and moved interior backward a little.
I like the image of the flower bud you used to create these sketches that follow. They have interesting surfaces and body lines which i would use to continue to move forward with.
Love the renderings, very good mix of the old and the new. I also liked the target customer page, very straight forward and really explains the point of vehicle.

renderings look ok but, I'd remove the black background if I were you. it seems little distracting to see the car.

I will update more refined renderings later, and will simplify the background.

Mostly focused on how to bring the design elements from the old Buick cars. Also you can understand how I developed design if u look at 'design guidelines', and pictures I put around the sketches. On 'Ideation sketches II', I picked up some of Buick's unique lines of the body which I used for the rendering following slide.

Congratulations on being a finalist... and hope to see your next follow up work soon!
