Timeline for competition


The Car Design News and GM interactive design competition has officially opened.

Now in its fourth year, the contest is open to student designers in the USA and Canada who are asked to tackle one of four challenging briefs, with eight three-month paid internships at GM's Tech Center in Warren, MI, up for grabs as prizes.

The first part of the contest involves the ideation phase of your design, uploading images as you go, responding to feedback on the website from both your fellow designers and our team of GM and CDN mentors.

The second phase will see a shortlist of designers with the most-promising entries work with the mentors to finalize their designs, including a new element to the contest this year – a face-to-face interview with top GM design executives. The winners will be announced at the NAIAS 2016.
